2026 Update: Monahans Sandhills State Park is a 3,840-acre state park that offers Texas-sized sand parks for kids of all ages, as well as a close-up view of a unique desert environment. It also has the Dunagan Visitor Center, which has a wildlife area, and you can bring your horse to explore the 800-acre equestrian area. Visitors can rent sand discs and practice hiking. The park offers free access for children aged 12 and younger. "Comanche Trail South Park has various features and fun-filled facilities for everyone. This is a 1.6-km loop trail with an elevation gain of 2 meters. This loop-type trail is generally considered an easy route. The trail takes approximately 17 minutes to complete. This is a perfect place for relaxed morning and evening walks, jogging, and cycling. The place has grass, trails, meadows, trees, and a large fish pond with swans swimming. There's also a frisbee game that you can play all around the park. The trail also features several picnic tables, barbecue grills, public restrooms, kid-friendly hikes, and leash-free areas for pets.
