Tibet-Butler Preserve is a county park with a butterfly garden, interpretive trails, and a nature center with educational programs. The total land area of the trail is 440 acres. The elevation gain of the trail is 3 feet to 13 feet. The trail is generally considered an easy trail route. The preserve's trails pass through many of the area's significant habitats, including longleaf pine forest and scrub, bayhead marsh, and cypress-lined lakeshore. The trails are marked. The preserve contains a picnic area, butterfly garden, and wheelchair-accessible sandbox in the nature center. The junction with the Palmetto Passage trail is at 0.2 miles; turn right to continue on the circle of pines. The spur trail follows the edge of the pine Flatwoods along with the oak scrub and enters a thick oak and pine forest. The covered deck offers a panoramic view of the marsh along with Lake Tibet. The butterfly garden attracts a whole host of species, including Zebra Longwing, Gulf Fritillary, and some swallowtail species. This preserve has mixed environments of wetlands, forests, ponds, and lakes.

Oakland Nature Preserve is a 128-acre park that provides tourists of all ages with environmental education and ecotourism activities. The park has environmental education and ecotourism activities for visitors of all ages. The total length of the trail is 1.1 miles. The total trial time taken is approximately 20 minutes. The elevation gain of the trail is 9 feet. The trail is out and back type. Visitors can enjoy hiking in highlands trails or boardwalking in Apopka Park. Oakland Nature Preserve has a museum where visitors can get information and living specimens, including a tarantula, two snakes, frogs, lizards, and turtles. It also provides funding to support efforts to preserve the natural environment, educational programs, and a mission to educate the public. The boardwalk is 2/3 m long, through colored lakes to a large, covered pavilion overlooking Apopka Lake. The boardwalk contains interpretive signage to identify plants and trees along the way, providing many opportunities to see ducks.
