Tibet-Butler Preserve offers a protected location in the dense urban mass west of Orlando. The trail system passes through many of the main ecosystems in this area, including the longleaf pine forest and scrub, bayhead marsh, and lakeshore lined with cypress. The preserve contains a picnic area, butterfly garden, and wheelchair accessible sandbox, all situated in the nature center. The junction with the palmetto passage trail is at 0.2 miles, turn right to continue on the circle of pines. The spur trail follows the edge of the pine Flatwoods along with the oak scrub and enters a thick oak and pine forest. The covered deck offers a panoramic view of the marsh along with Lake Tibet.
