Tibet-Butler Preserve features a butterfly garden, interpretive trails, and a nature center with educational programs. The total land area of the trail is 440 acres. The elevation gain of the trail ranges from 3 feet to 13 feet, which is generally considered an easy trail route. The trails pass through many of the area's significant habitats, including longleaf pine forest and scrub, bayhead marsh, and cypress-lined lakeshore. This nature area also contains a picnic area, butterfly garden, and wheelchair-accessible sandbox in the nature center. The junction with the Palmetto Passage trail is at 0.2 miles; turn right to continue on the circle of pines. The covered deck offers a panoramic view of the marsh along with Lake Tibet. This preserve has mixed environments of wetlands, forests, ponds, and lakes.
