“The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is a place to step into nature and see the native wildlife that calls the Refuge home. This 15,000-acre Refuge has Bison, deer, raptors, songbirds, waterfowl, prairie dogs, and coyotes are just a few of the animals you will see on your visit. You can enjoy 20 miles of easy hiking trails, and some trails are open to bicycling. Lake trails feature a boardwalk over the water. Take the Refuge's 11-mile Wildlife Drive in your vehicle to see bison, deer, hawks, waterfowl, and more. Recreation opportunities include hiking, bicycling, seasonal catch-and-release fishing, archery range, and wildlife viewing and photography. The Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge is open from sunrise to sunset, and visiting is free. The Wildlife Drive takes about 45 minutes to 1 hour to complete and is free.”
