Carpenter Park has an amphitheater, a carousel, a boathouse, a playground, a skate park, and sports facilities. The park is located directly behind the Carpenter Recreation Center. The park improvements were funded by Thornton’s Park and Open Space tax revenues, two Adams County open space grant awards, and an outstanding Outdoors Colorado local government grant award. There are multiple lakes and areas to walk around for various activity levels. You can take a quick lap around one of the small lakes for hundreds of steps, or you can walk completely around the park. You can enjoy beautiful mountain views at sunset. The park also offers free parking options.

Community Park has attracted many kids and adults since its opening. The local body has added many facilities to the park for people's convenience. Kids make their parents take them to the park on weekends because of these facilities. They can have fun with other kids. There is more fun equipment available. Community Park has two ample playgrounds and plenty of places to picnic. Paddleboats, two covered pavilions, and a pool are available. Pecos Park features a children's playground, picnic tables, and lush open spaces. It's at the start of a walking trail with 6-foot sidewalk paths. There are basketball hoops, doggie bags, a playground, swings, benches, and a shaded pavilion to eat. You can take a relaxing walk in the middle of the city, hear birds chirping, or play with your kids. All areas of the park are beautifully maintained and have beautiful paths. There are clean restrooms and plenty of space to do all kinds of activities. You can take your pets to the park, and many local people are satisfied with the park's facilities. The park also provides a wheelchair-accessible parking lot.
