Lovely area with tons of nature paths and walking trails to explore. Entry was only $6/ person which I thought was very reasonable. Grounds are clearly well maintained and the staff and volunteers were all very friendly. I will note that if you go in peak summertime you’ll probably run in to (literally) more than your fair share of banana spider webs, so if you’re arachnophobic I’d recommend waiting until the fall/winter months. We went early on a Saturday morning and experienced no wait.
This place is a great place to take a walk or have fun with your kids! There are 3 walking trails around a mile each that have benches along the trails. There are multiple places to try and spot alligators and I saw plenty of wildlife while I was there. There is an area to learn about different reptiles and a platform to see the bison and so much more! Highly recommend and the people are so friendly. Plenty of parking available.
Great place to experience nature and still be close to home! Easy trails and lots of wildlife. They also have a great learning area for kids. If you’re really quiet on the wooded trails, there are plenty of deer to see.
