The Military Reserve covers nearly 479 acres and features various amenities, including access roads and a war memorial. This reserve offers hiking trails, mountain biking, a horse riding area, and an old military memorial. Military Reserve also features a dog park, a children's play area, and an archery range. Visitors can also enjoy birdwatching along the trails, with many birdhouses and seating provided. The military cemetery is on a mountainside approximately 1.2 miles east of the United States Administration Hospital. The Military Reserve is an ideal location for dog walking with its off-leash trails. The running path of the trail passes through the Freestone and Cottonwood Creeks.

Hulls Gulch Reserve has 6.5 miles of trails and provides direct access to 40+ miles of public land trails. The Reserve is committed to promoting sustainability and responsible use of the Foothills through environmental awareness, service programs, and outreach. The reserve is home to wildlife such as great horned owls, kestrels, and coyotes throughout the year. Hulls Gulch Reserve also has a leisure center in the Foothills and is a vital link between the plateau and the river trail network. The reserve's open space helps conserve native vegetation to prevent mudflows and washouts. Visitors can spend hours here taking pictures and admiring the vibrant plant life. Parking facilities and restrooms are available in the reserve.

Camels Back Trail spans 11 acres with hiking trails, playing areas, mountain biking, tennis courts, and playgrounds. The trail has some steep sections with stairs, providing a moderate challenge. The park is a fantastic viewpoint for kite flying, astronomical events, fireworks, and drumming. This 1.7-mile loop trail takes an average of 50 minutes to complete. This park is famous for hiking, running, and walking, though visitors can also find solitude during quieter times. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. The best time to visit is from March to October.
