Cesar Chavez Park is one of my favorite places to take my dog in the East Bay. There’s so much space for pups to run and roll around! A huge plus is that they recently renovated the roads and there’s way more street parking. It’s also free! Only downside for some dog owners is that there’s no fences. It’s also always windy. However, you’ll see people flying kites! Wouldn’t recommend as a picnic spot though.
Hidden gem! Lived here all my life and not once went this direction on my rides. It has perfect trails to practice single track on a bike which I happily did. I practiced shifting gears up and downhill. Different terrain to practice on too. Nice little spot for picnics too. Beautiful for a walk, street parking, furfriendly.
Great park with beautiful views. Plenty of walkways and trails to navigate and nice hills to climb for better views. Also very spacious so you could find a private to semiprivate area to picnic or just lounge.
