“Codornices Park is one of the finest public parks in Berkeley, CA. The park was opened in 1915 with a fine tennis court, a splendid field house, and many other features like a lawn, picnic area, restroom, play area, vista/overlook, and walking/biking trails. Codornices Park has some sports fields like basketball courts and softball courts. Los Amigos de Codornices, a community group, came together in 1980 to develop a park plan and begin a series of community work parties to restore paths, hillsides, bridges, meadows, and trails. The park offers many recreational and play opportunities in a beautiful hillside setting. Codornices Park has naturally large redwood trees. Codornices Park is an excellent place to take photographs.
