"Codornices Park is well-maintained and has a clean environment. It features a large 40-foot concrete slide, various swings, track rides, an 8-foot-high wood structure with a slide, and a net climber. Codornices Park has some sports fields, including basketball courts and softball courts. The park offers many recreational and play opportunities in a beautiful hillside setting. Codornices Park has naturally large redwood trees and is an excellent place to take photographs. At Codornices Park, public restrooms and picnic tables are also available.

2026 Update: Codornices Park is especially known for its distinctive concrete slide and natural features like Codornices Creek, wooded paths, and panoramic viewpoints. It provides interconnected walking routes and an accessible tunnel linking directly to the Berkeley Rose Garden, enhancing visitor exploration. "San Pablo Park has over 12.95 acres of parkland and has two ball diamonds, a basketball court, tennis courts, and a fieldhouse. The land for San Pablo Park was purchased in 1907 to make it the City of Berkeley’s oldest park. Gregg, the U.C. Professor, laid out plans for the park, and the recreation field was opened for public use in 1914. The park offers various recreational activities for all ages, from baseball and basketball to younger children’s play areas. The park has various features, including climbers, swings, slides, a special seesaw for four, and sand diggers. They also provide a Tot play area, a School-age play area, and picnic areas with BBQ. In San Pablo Park, a clubhouse is available.

2026 Update: San Pablo Park combines open lawns, multiple sports facilities, and family-friendly playgrounds, making it a central gathering area. It features a dedicated community center that provides indoor spaces for programs, classes, and neighborhood events. "Ohlone Park is a beautiful five-block-long green space with many recreational activities, such as tot and school-age play areas, a community garden, a picnic area, walking/biking trails, and an off-leash dog area. Ohlone Park has sports fields like basketball and volleyball courts, and soccer and softball fields. The park was designed on BART-owned land along the strip of land known as Hearst Corridor after the City arranged to bury the BART tracks in Berkeley. The park is excellent for kids, with large open fields for frisbee or any other field activity. Ohlone Park has a basketball court and is one of the best places to set up a slackline and a hammock.

2026 Update: Ohlone Park is built along the Ohlone Greenway and serves as a multi-use corridor for walking, biking, and outdoor leisure activities. It includes culturally significant elements such as public art and landscaping that honor the heritage of the Ohlone people. The park features multiple play zones and open spaces designed for both young children and older visitors, supporting inclusive recreation. It has separate areas for different dogs for walking, making it a popular spot for pet owners"
