This is one of my favorite walking trails. There are easy to walk on sections of concrete, and then there are numerous dirt and gravel trails that make you feel like you are far from civilization in the woods. I would recommend using a map app on your phone so you don't get lost, however. I have come across people when it is close to getting dark and they had no idea how to get back to the main part of the park.
My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed walking the trails until he was bit by a snake, while we were exiting the trees. It was dusk and we did not see the snake. After 2 days in ICU and 1 more day in a regular room for observation, he is getting better, Thank God. Those Beware of Snakes signs..... take them seriously.
This is a good park with woodland trails and an open area big enough for large picnics, playing fetch with a dog, etc. Be careful not to get lost in the woods if you leave the paved trails.
