Beautiful trail! It’s an out & back route with 3 hours one way and 6 hours for the entire course. I heard from many that you’d be rewarded with a view of the waterfall at the end. We only hiked for 1.5 hours, so we didn’t see the waterfall. Nonetheless, it was a beautiful route. On the route, you’ll be greeted by a long creek, a few small bridges, several rocky terrains, many walkers and hikers with dogs, breathtaking view of the mountains.
The Hunter Creek Trail is a beautiful trail in Reno that leads to the Hunter Creek Falls. The hike to the falls is about 3 miles through the canyon and follows the creek to the falls, and offers some amazing scenery. The waterfall is fairly large and peaceful. Best to visit in Spring or early Summer when the water is flowing the most. Highly recommend hiking to if in Reno, one of the best hikes in Reno.
Loved this hike. It's a good distance, with mild elevation gain. The trail hugs the side of a ravine the whole way, each time you round a corner you have a whole new view.
