This is a beautiful and very peaceful state park! It offers amazing lake views where you can see egritts, herons, and even alligators! I was so excited to see an alligator when I was here! The trail is also very beautiful and gives you great views of the marshes and the Pearl River! I saw tons of wildlife during my visit, and it was so quaint and peaceful!
This is a quiet and peaceful place hidden in the middle of a busy city. Many locals are not aware of its existence. If you want a taste of the country while living in a metropolitan area, this is for you. You can fish, barbecue, or just enjoy the nice scenery.
Great place for bicycling. A new bike path (no signage yet, but staff will direct you) leads both to network of mountain bike trails and to farmers market and three museums (Civil Rights Museum is amazing). Great campground.
