The MDWFP Museum of Natural Science is located in Jackson, Mississippi, within the historic LeFleur Bluff State Park. The museum 's vast glass expanses overlook a 300-acre natural landscape, an open-air amphitheater, and 2.5 miles of nature trails. Inside, encounter more than 200 living species in their 100,000-gallon aquarium network and discover 73,000 square feet of permanent and temporary exhibits. which include deer, waterfowl, fossils, and Mississippi's endangered species. The museum provides ample and varied opportunities for nature walks, photography, and the observation of life. Displays the varied landscapes of Mississippi, including a spectacular display of white-tailed deer and roaring waterfowl. Every year, more than 100,000 visitors are inspired by the natural world displayed in the Museum's permanent and special exhibitions. Get free entry for children under the age of 3.

The Mississippi Children's Museum provides unique experiences that encourage a passion for exploration, information, and learning in all children. Explore the Tale Treehouse in the Literacy Garden or dance on stage in the Express Yourself Show. Field trips and group tours are available for groups of 15 or more children. The Museum provides volunteer hours as field trip chaperones to the community or school organizations. The Children's Museum of Mississippi is open and available to everyone. MCM has a small nursing space on the lower floor of the museum in the Express Yourself Room. Free admission is available for children under 1 year of age.
