Another state park gem! We had planned to be at a state park in Jackson but it was closed due to flooding so we wound up changing plans and loved every minute of our short time here. The pool and water slide were the main attractions for my kids but we enjoyed our time on the campground too. The biggest surprise was how few people were there as it is quiet and very well maintained. The bathhouse was clean and the park rangers were all very friendly and helpful as well.
We loved our one night stay at the park. The lake was wonderful and made for a post card sunset. We love to walk in the morning and the park has some nice trails. There were moments when we felt a bit lost in the woods but we made it out alive. Don’t tell anyone about this park it’s too nice to share.
Beautiful campground, clean restrooms and a great place to hike. The campsites have plenty of room between them. Most sites have lots of shade, the trees here are tall and beautiful. There is a nice little reservoir close by and easy to get to.
