Great spot to get in a low to medium difficulty jog or walk in with a lot of great seasonal views of the area. There are elevation changes but not anything too difficult for an average walker. Everyone is very polite as it is a trail frequented by regulars. It's also a great spot to take your dog. It's one of my favorite spots around for sure.
It's a good spot to park. Park here during sunset and you can experience a beautiful sunset in James river. If you are doing your run, walk on the trail, this is the best starting point. There is no picnic area or anything but there plenty of open ground to sit and relax.
Love this trail!! Very shady, easy to follow and peaceful. It’s usually really busy so if you’re walking with your pups keep them on a tight leash. Other than being busy it’s a really nice area. It has NICE picnic area’s as well.
