"Huntington Park is an elegant spot covering approximately 60 acres of parkland. The park features a beach, gardens, two fishing piers, tennis courts, and museums. The Rose Garden showcases around forty-five different rose varieties, and the tennis center includes twenty outdoor hard courts with lighting. Huntington Park offers tennis court rentals, racquet stringing, ball machines, and backboard rentals. It has a public boat ramp that is accessible year-round and accommodates boats with trailers up to 30 feet long. The park offers children’s playgrounds featuring ramp-accessible play structures and inclusive swings. Huntington Park is a great place to sit and relax in nature.

2026 Update: Huntington Park has Fort Fun playground overlooking the river, and the American Rose City rose garden with a gazebo for weddings and photos. It is home to the Virginia War Museum and memorial areas. There is a boat ramp with dedicated parking available year-round, with the Tennis Center hosting regional and state tournaments."

The park is a 30,000-square-foot community playground with a large barn-shaped shelter open for public use. Additionally, the Riverview Farm Park ensures amenities like restroom facilities, dog parking, and a visitor center.

2026 Update: Riverview Farm Park has a pleasant farm-themed playground designed for large groups of children. It has a Barn-shaped shelter located inside the playground area, with nearly 3 miles of paved loop trails with open fields, and play spaces available. This park has a river overlook trail with boardwalk-style walking sections, a family-friendly layout with a two-loop trail system. It has a combination of playground, skate park, trails, and picnic areas in one location. This park has fog-friendly walking areas."

"King-Lincoln Park is an 18.8-acre park that features tennis, picnicking, a saltwater fishing pier, and an interpretive center. The park has many free activities for all ages, including free bingo, live music, and community exhibits. The park offers tennis courts, basketball courts, playgrounds, picnic shelters, and a saltwater fishing pier. The park features grassy areas, a baseball field, volleyball courts, and picnic tables. King-Lincoln Park is an excellent park with fun equipment for children. The park has easy entry for wheelchairs and special parking spaces for people with disabilities. King-Lincoln Park also offers free parking options.

2026 Update: King-Lincoln waterfront park overlooking Hampton Roads at the southeastern end of Newport News. It has an outdoor performance stage used for community events in the summer, and fishing pier, beach, and sports facilities in one location. This Park is an interpretive center offering educational programs during summer weekends."

Nice and quiet. Good walkable trails. There's playground equipment, small pavilions, and good green spaces. There's a lot of construction going on right now but the tracks are perfectly usable. I notice many people bringing their dogs and there are lots of birds around which is nice. Also has a soccer area.

The relaxing atmosphere, cool and clean environment is really soothing. It’s a good place for friends/family picnics. There is a play ground for the kids, good space for exercises - trail, walking, running, and different kinds of sports. Reservations and approvals are needed though for certain events like weddings, then there are prohibited items too like a grill etc. I went there for picnic/relaxation with some friends and it was a splendid experience

Absolutely love Riverview Farm Park! It is very well kept, has a ton of open space, a nice long paved trail with multiple options for distance, a playground, and several cabana areas with seating in the center of the park as well as benches spaced out along the trail.

This is a really nice park located at the tip of the peninsula. It offers shelters, playground, beach, fishing piers, cement walking paths, open space, and plenty of parking.

Very relaxing park nearby the dock to go fishing. The ability to sit and walk along the shoreline a little bit. Great views of the marina and shipping activities.

Had a great time at this park! Very clean & I LOVE standing near the water.
