ROCKY PEAK PARK
“Rocky Peak Park is a well known hiking place formed of sandstone rocks and rolling hills. This park covers 800 acres in the Santa Susana Mountains between Chatsworth and Simi Valley. The total length of the trail is 4.6 miles. The elevation gain of the trail is 1167 feet. The trail is out and back type. The total time taken to complete the trial is 2 hours and 34 minutes. Many easy-to-moderate trails, commanding views, and deep nature make this one of the most popular parks in the area. The spectacular Rim of the Valley Trail Corridor property, running five miles north of the 118 freeway, includes Las Llajas Canyon. The park is also home to the most important wildlife habitat. Rocky Peak Park is an excellent place to go hiking, and it has remarkable elevations to get a perfect workout and amazing views.
