An interesting hiking and rock scrambling area, with sweeping views of Simi Valley and parts of the San Fernando Valley, as well. Located close to the infamous Rocketdyne/Boeing Field Lab, you also get some good views of the facility, including some of the Superfund cleanup areas from rocket testing. There is one big loop trail, but many side trails and offshoots that take you to many interesting rock formations and overlooks. There are many varied flora and fauna, including deer, bobcats, and an occasional mountain lion. Parking in the lower lot is free, with a pay ($5) lot up the paved road a bit.
We came and did the full loop it's about a 2000 foot elevation make sure you have the proper footing you will be going uphill downhill over rocks and on loose gravel. We also brought the dogs great time very peaceful great place to clear your head have a great hike.
This is a great place to hike and get lost for a few hours. The rock formations are a sight to behold and you definitely feel connected to nature here. Saw what looked to be a baby rattlesnake right off the trail so be careful.
