Tifft Nature Preserve is one of our favorite local hikes with so much to offer! While the parking lot can get busy at times, we've never found the trails to be crowded and always see plenty of wildlife, with a variety of birds and deer who are very unbothered by the presence of people! There are so many gorgeous views whether you choose to walk along the water, up to higher ground, or along one of the many paths into the woods! We love enjoying the feeling of a secluded hike through the woods while still being close enough to downtown that we can enjoy great food afterwards! Whether you're a local or passing through Tifft is definitely worth a visit!
Great place for a hike and just enjoy nature there are lots of red ants watch your step n shake off before getting in your car so you don't bring any home lots of wildlife bugs turtles bunnies deer chipmunks frogs butterflies etc have fun and ALWAYS ONLY LEAVE FOOTPRINTS NO TRASH.
Trails are clean can spend a day or just a few hours or just park and sit by the pond nice peaceful open air mound trails or great tree covered trails for shade on hot or rainy days ..when they have leaves of course. service dogs only
