Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott

In the midst of a disastrous travel situation, the front desk team (specifically the gentleman who works evenings at the front desk and checked us in) as well as Angelo are all incredible. We stayed for one night due to a delay that caused us to miss a connection and booked a second night after our next flight returned to the gate. Miraculously, the airline was able to find a crew for us, so we no longer needed the room. Angelo was understanding and kind. So grateful for a warm bed last night and people who care when it feels like good customer service is hard to come by. The rooms are decent and clean. The food is tasty. It’s close to the airport (though it could be a little easier to access). The shuttle drivers are knowledgeable and grab your bags every time. I’m impressed.

The shuttle to the hotel from the airport was friendly and prompt. I followed the signage and waited a few minutes before the small bus arrived. The Marriott is in view of the bus stop, but it's not advisable to walk there with the busy road in front of the hotel. Rooms are a nice size and upgraded. The Aviation Grill has great service and large choice of draft beers. The concierge lounge is very dated, I had didn't stay in there and went back out to the bar. It is very convenient for a layover at this airport. There are separate suttles to each terminal, so ask before boarding. There are a lot of airline crew at this hotel, which to me, is a good sign as well.

Smooth check in and out and easy shuttle in the morning to the airport. This definitely made an early morning flight much easier, over driving to the airport super early in the morning. The hotel and rooms were clean and the restaurant/bar in the lobby was convenient for a snack and drink when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again when flying out of Newark Airport.
