What a hidden gem! The lunch buffet was fresh with about 10-12 entrees items. Vegetarians and Vegans on the road: you won’t be disappointed! They have meat based items too. The fresh naan was kindly brought to us by the one server. We are pinning this place on our road map! This humble restaurant is in a beautiful mid-century modern building. Enjoy!

this restaurant isn't exactly glamorous but this might be THE best food I've had in Peoria. the lunch buffet has a decent variety with a good amount of vegetarian options. they also bring you naan when you sit down to eat. coming from Chicago I've been searching for something to replace the void in my heart (and stomach) and I'd honestly give this a solid 9.5/10. try the chicken 65 and spinach!

The best halal fried chicken in Peoria. Lunch buffet is a steal. There are some limitations in the setting, but the food is excellent.

1st time coming here to celebrate my brother's birthday with family since he enjoys Indian cuisine. Arrived with 8 people, was promptly greeted, seated immediately, and got our drinks ordered while we were looking at the menu. Waitresses were knowledgeable about the menu, always smiling, and very courteous. I ordered the garlic and cheese naans, chicken tikka dish, with a soda. I'm not a fan of Indian food, but I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. All the other food came out within a reasonable amount of time, and there were no complaints there, too. Good service, great food, and a positive atmosphere. Definitely coming back!

My husband and I are somewhat unfamiliar with Indian cuisine, and we weren’t disappointed at Bay Leaf! The servers were patient with our questions and knowledgeable about the different dishes. We had mango lassi, garlic naan, chili paneer appetizer, chicken korma, and lamb dum biriani (all “medium” spice level). The lassi was cold and refreshing; a perfect compliment to the spice of the food. The food was piping hot and fresh. Rich and complex flavors in each dish. Large portions, too. We will be back, and will recommend this place to our friends.

Outstanding Indian restaurant in the Maxam Building, on the stage of the old theater. Dinners are an incredible value, made fresh in house, and absolutely delicious. The naan is crisp on the outside, pillow soft on the inside. Service is warm and welcoming. Bar is separate from restaurant area, you may order and pay for drinks at the bar, then bring them to your table. Or enjoy a nightcap at the elegant bar!
