Good fusion Indian food. The store is nice and clean. The staff are very nice and friendly. They gave us more time to look at the menu when we were still indecisive, offer small spoon for toddlers and water refills when asked. The restaurant is well decorated, giving cheerful vibe. The not free one is bigger though. Still a good experience nonetheless.

We’ve been on the hunt for lamb keema and we are glad we stopped in! Food had so much flavor! I ordered a platter with butter chicken(absolutely delicious and packed with flavor, my favorite) everything was absolutely delicious! Prices were absolutely reasonable!

We had an amazing experience in curry up now San Francisco. We had planned Tikka Thali, Katti roll, kachiri chat and holy moly fried Ravioli. Had got complimentary tea and biscuits. Amazing food and service.

Our go to place for a great meal…great service (thanks Dario and Jitesh)….an all around wonderful experience. Just went on Mother’s Day. It was so busy. I called ahead the day before since there were 4 of us. This is a very popular restaurant in San Mateo because of the authentic food. Absolutely love the dosas!! I had an indian friend recommend this restaurant and she was correct. Never disappointing. Im vegan and I love everything I get. My husband is a meat eater and truly enjoys the lamb and the chicken dishes. Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

Very friendly staff. When we told the guy that we’re first timer trying Indian food, he smiled. Good food, and fast service. My son and I like the tandoori roti, while my husband like the chicken biryani. The mango lassi is also very flavorful. They also have a kid menu if your kid don’t like to eat with parents. Now I know why this place is always full. We’ll come again!

Dario and Jithesh are amazing people, the food quality is really good and these guys run the show. Our favourite is parotta and chicken curry combo, the briyani and dosa are amazing as well. The free chai attracts everyone and it tastes really good. Best Indian spot in San Mateo area.

Clay Oven Cuisine of India in San Mateo is a fantastic restaurant that offers excellent service, delicious and savory food, and a cozy ambiance that is perfect for both date nights and business meetings. The owner is incredibly attentive and the cook is able to accommodate a wide range of spice levels, from very mild to extremely spicy. The quality of the meat, chicken, and all ingredients is top-notch and the restaurant is always kept clean. Located in a shopping area, the restaurant also plays great Indian music, making for a well-rounded and enjoyable experience. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for delicious Indian cuisine, with an emphasis on the preparation, ambiance, quality of service, flavor and serving size, all of which are the best and perfect.

Love this place for years. Love Indian food. Chicken is so juicy and the flavors are awesome. I don’t eat spicy food and if you tell them mild it’s perfect. San Mateo Location has the best hours, San Francisco hours suck.

Great food great people. The owner is humble and kind, and they are very generous with their portions of food and everything on the menu taste delicious.
