3 Best Italian Restaurants in Thornton, CO

1st off I quit going to this location about 5 years ago because of the service was so bad. Doing a date with my wife and praying for a great experience. The experience was great. Plus we had the manager come by and serve us personally. We've been there twice now. Both times superb.

I mean in the end it is Olive Garden. But the service we received was top notch. salad was always full. breadsticks were always being brought out. I had soup and salad and as soon as I asked for soup I got within a minute or 2. Drinks were always topped off as well great dinner with friends and family.

We went there today and got something lunch, we ordered chicken parmigiana, gnocchi soup, salad bowl, spinach and artichoke deep also 5 cheese ziti Al forno The salad bowl was super big, the gnocchi soup is super comfort food, the artichoke spinach deep is okay and the chicken parmigiana is okay. The service is super friendly and the place is so cozy to bring family for lunch.

Paulie's Italian Grill is a memory from the old neighborhood. His mother Rachel was one of the owners in Lachuga. His gravy is fantastic. The food is of course great. My wife and cousin both ate all their meal with is unusual. I ordered more than I could eat since I knew the left overs would be just as good. My wife cannot have cheese and Paulie made his sauce without cheese just so she could enjoy it. The chocolate croissant was fabulous. If you want a suggestion on what to order, good luck. Order more than you can eat and take it home like I did. Keep in mind, this is a casual family place that does not serve alcohol and not an upscale restaurant.

Love the food here. Nobody has 'gravy' (marinara) as good as this place, and Paulie and Joe always pay attention to ensure a fantastic meal is served. If you are open to it, Paulie will make a point of getting to know you, and you will forever forward be treated like family. While it can be a bit difficult to find, it is so worth it.

This is the best Italian food experience I could imagine. Not only is the food homemade and traditionally cooked, but the chef, owner, and staff treat you like family. We got to try Paulie’s homemade sausage and gravy, the Stromboli was to die for, the homemade pasta and eggplant parm were incredible, and the deserts were delicious. Paulie told us his family’s story, made us feel at home, and took great care of us. Come here if you need cheering up, are looking for an authentic Italian meal, or want to taste your mom’s cooking again. We came here during an ultimate frisbee tournament, and I will be sure to come back next time I’m in the area. Thank you Paulie!
