KIRALA REVIEWS
Outstanding quality at every stage of preparation and serving. Highest regard for freshness in all of their raw fish sources, plus meat and vegetables. Truly one of the most delicious meals you’ll find at any Japanese restaurant in the Bay Area. I’ve been coming here for 30 years, and it’s still a great experience.
Fabulous broth on Sukiaki and Nabeyaki Udon, delicious seafood pot stickers. Most importantly: great service! The owner is so chic, gracious and beautiful! All waiters were so kind and fun! We will be back.
Robata grill dishes are always excellent. This time I had a Saturday lunch special bento box with miso grilled cod a a finger of tonkatsu, both excellent.

KIRAKU REVIEWS
One of my favorite Japanese restaurants in the east bay! Ingredients are great quality! Cooked with heart and skills! I love the beef tongue! It’s grill to perfect tenderness and the outside is crispy and full of umami! So as Chirashi, every piece of fish is super fresh. Also staffs are nice. Good experience over all.
Absolutely phenomenal service and quality of food! Quite possibly my favorite restaurant of all time. Highly recommend the yuba spoon, nigiri sampler, and the grapefruit yogurt dessert. But you really can't go wrong here.
This is my favourite place to get a nice dinner, minimum in Berkeley, possibly anywhere. The staff are attentive and lovely, the ambiance is cozy, and the food is amazing. There's always new specials so you can go a lot (as I do) without becoming bored. I highly recommend any grilled fish collar they have on special, and the chazuke to finish a meal. Oh, and the corn tempura/rock shrimp tempura. I get those literally every single time.

IYASARE REVIEWS
Found this gem from a legit source and absolutely loved it. Arrived without reservations a few minutes after they opened and was seated promptly indoors. Received a very welcome introduction from the wait staff along with recommendations that I ordered from.
Excellent restaurant. The service was amazing. Very in tune with the flow of the dinner. I took my teens and they were even impressed. The food was spectacular and abundant. I was truly impressed by the quantity recieved with each dish. Very high quality. Bar was excellent. We will most definitely be back.
Michelin rated Japanese restaurant that stays true to it's roots. Every dish was executed very well and drinks were yummy. We ordered the Sashimi salad, one of the most popular dishes and it was a true star. The quality and cut of the fish matched what you'd expect at a high end Omakase.
