“2026 Update: Viewpoint of the Flower is a monument that honors Selena Quintanilla-Pérez, the beloved Tejano musician. The monument receives approximately 30,000 visitors annually, especially from Corpus Christi and surrounding Texas cities. The site is located a few miles north of Selena’s burial place at Seaside Memorial Park and features a life-sized bronze statue of the singer, created by Corpus Christi native H.W. “Buddy” Tatum. The statue of Selena leans against a concrete pillar and faces Corpus Christi Bay. Viewpoint of the Flower includes a white rose motif, believed to reflect Selena’s favorite flower, and a memorial plaque that faces Shoreline Boulevard.
