Museum of the American Railroad is committed to celebrating the heritage and exploring the future of railroads through historic research, preservation, and educational programming. The museum has over 70 pieces of steam, diesel, passenger, and freight railroad equipment. Visitors may walk through some of the equipment on guided tours. The museum collects artifacts and archival material from the railroad industry to exhibit and interpret their significance in American life and culture. Sci-Tech Discovery Center aims to engage and inspire learners of all ages and backgrounds to adopt discovery and innovation through the active exploration of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The museum serves 50,000 visitors on-site and off-site each year, and many participants are kids in targeted outreach programs in underserved areas. Sci-Tech Discovery Center's educators travel to groups around North Texas to provide TEKS-aligned programs during and after school. Many programs are delivered over several weeks, months, or years to build and strengthen skills and confidence and promote STEM pathways for high school and beyond. The museum opened its doors in Frisco with generous support from the City of Frisco Community Development Corporation, many corporate sponsors, foundations, and individuals.

Frisco Public Library offers various resources and events for people of all ages. The library consisted of books that were donated, collected, and stored in a small building on Main Street, which the city paid one dollar to lease for the entire year. Frisco Public Library was established in 1992. This early library was run by a team of volunteers who checked books in and out, shelved materials, and created Frisco’s first children’s summer reading program. Frisco Public Library was built from the ground up by a team of dedicated citizens who were committed to the spirit of literacy and intellectual freedom. Frisco Public Library aims to inspire intellect, curiosity, and imagination in every visitor who interacts with it, both in person and online.
