Tahoma National Cemetery contains 36 memorials that commemorate soldiers of diverse 20th-century wars, donated by various service organizations. The cemetery spans 158.3 acres and, as of the end of 2019, had over 60,000 interments, compared to the end of 2008, which had 23,479 interments, and 15,924 interments in 2005. The national cemetery is open to all armed forces members who have met a minimum active duty service condition and were discharged under requirements other than dishonorable. The Cemetery has a Veterans Service Organization Honor Guard Association. These veterans offer honors to 90 percent of the veterans interred here. The Association comprises The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Elks Club, and other organizations.

The library strives to promote its usage and sponsors programs for children, teens, and adults. Kent Library provides a microfiche reader/printer and a microfilm collection, which includes historical Kent newspapers, the Seattle PI, and the Seattle Times. The library aims to inspire the people of King County to succeed through ideas, interaction, and information. The library values knowledge as both individual and shared collections of information, skills, relationships, and lived experiences. Kent Library builds knowledge through a continual process of broadening awareness and understanding, actively seeking connections, and sharing learning opportunities.
