“ 2026 Highlights: Kent Historical Museum is a house museum with period furnishings and exhibits of life in the early 20th century. The City of Kent purchased the historic Bereiter house for use as the Kent Historical Museum in 1996. It was the home of the city of Kent's 3rd mayor, Emil Bereiter 1912-1913. Their mission is to educate and preserve diverse family and kinfolk storylines for future generations. They offer a national program that encourages individuals of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. The Museum Offers free admission for Children under 5. ”

" Tahoma National Cemetery contains 36 memorials that commemorate soldiers of diverse 20th-century wars, donated by various service organizations. The cemetery spans 158.3 acres and, as of the end of 2019, had over 60,000 interments, compared to the end of 2008, which had 23,479 interments, and 15,924 interments in 2005. The national cemetery is open to all armed forces members who have met a minimum active duty service condition and were discharged under requirements other than dishonorable. The Cemetery has a Veterans Service Organization Honor Guard Association. These veterans offer honors to 90 percent of the veterans interred here. The Association comprises The American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, Elks Club, and other organizations.

" Maleng Regional Justice Center serves as a hub for various legal proceedings and services. The courtrooms are equipped with wheelchair lifts for the bench and witness boxes, and jury boxes are wheelchair-accessible. The Courts Building and vending machines are available on the first floor and in the second-floor jury assembly room. The Courthouse Drop-In Childcare Center serves children who are called to testify as victims or witnesses or whose parents or guardians have business in the court. Their designated parking stalls are reserved on the first and second floors of the parking garage. Maleng Regional Justice Center provides a wide range of resources and support for individuals involved in the legal system.

KENT HISTORICAL MUSEUM REVIEWS

This place is a gem hidden in plain sight. Not only is it beautifully restored and preserved, but the exhibits that have been donated from all over the area, tell an incredible story about the town and America, as a whole. The exhibits give an intimate glimpse into the lives of some of our Japanese citizens who were sent to internment camps during WW2. Additionally, we get insight into Ft. Thomas and how Carnation condensed milk got it's start. The old building remains, it's back visible at the Kent Regional Library. I highly recommend a visit. It's free, but well worth the recommended $2 donation.

A lovely small museum set in the town of Kent Several displays of items from when the house .was built Also, there’s an extensive display about Covid This county was the first place that Covid was recorded in the United States And they document this quite extensively.

Very nice local museum. We came for the Tree Tour activity and also visited the museum. Very beautiful yard and good exhibitions. It is good to know the history of this area. Thank you.

TAHOMA NATIONAL CEMETERY REVIEWS

What a beautiful cemetery. We have several family members buried here. We found out from ancestry our first family member was here, and then had 2 more members after. They always maintain the property so it always looks clean and kept up. My father in law was buried here, and the veterans did an amazing and beautiful ceremony here. They arranged everything for us and it was beyond what was expected . A little white butterfly flew by our family when one of the vets was reading a lovely poem. They did a great presentation of the flag to his son and helped choose what the plot said. Thank you for your services and I am very grateful for the care you took with our family.

It's a gorgeous, well kept memorial. I'm glad my mom chose to be interred here. Bless all of you who maintain and honor the heroes on these grounds. Thank you to the US Army for the 21 gun salute on behalf of my mother's service to this nation. I never understood her sacrifice until they handed me that folded flag. Vietnam kept you awake long after the war, I was too young to understand. I love you mom, I'll see you again in eternity. Until then, rest in the peace you struggled to find in this human experience.

Incredible cemetery for the people who have served our country and respectful place to honor our loved ones. Beautiful and well maintained grounds. They put up thousands of flags on Veterans Day and Memorial Day. It is very humbling to just walk through. We saw deer come out at dusk and eat the flowers at the sites on several occasions.

MALENG REGIONAL JUSTICE CENTER REVIEWS

This is not the regional Justice Center this is king county elections main office. Whoever said that this is the justice center was incorrect do not come here if you’re coming to go to the justice center again this is king county elections.

This court house is so much nicer to go to than the Seattle one. This one is clean, has parking, and everyone is so friendly! I take the extra trip to go to the Kent courthouse just for the parking garage.

Entrance security and Family Law Information courteous and helpful. Courthouse information staff appeared the same. Nice, new facility.
