3 Best Landmarks in Killeen, TX

We love the copper mountain library. It has a good location in Killeen, maybe the best library in the city. Books seem geared more for youths and kids, but there is still a good selection. The staff in the children's room especially are always cheerful, friendly, and helpful (Daisha and Rose, thank you so so much!) They pay attention to the kids and make it fun. My young daughter's face lights up whenever we come. The library is on the smaller side, but has an area for computer use, a book drop, and a few tables for studying (although I'd probably go elsewhere to study given how youth-central the library is). Currently they are doing some construction but it's going to make the library better.

Library is small but this branch offers 2 hour slot times on Wednesdays and Thursdays for children’s block party/baby block party with legos and duplos. It is a good opportunity for your child to socialize and interact with other children. There is a fair amount and decent selection of children’s books.

The library has definitely changed since the last time I visited. There is no separate computer room now, just lots of open space. The staff is still polite as ever. I really like the new layout of the library.

Very heart touching place, a great memorial for the cowardly acts of November 2009. Really brings to life the people who gave their life so needlessly that day. If your the least bit patriotic you need to see this. Easy to find, and kept up very beautifully. If you find yourself passing thru this town. It only takes a couple minutes to drop in and take a look at this place, and little about the lives of those that served and died that November day.

I was crossing the gate barricade on Old Copperas Cove road on West Fort when the horns started going off from this act of cowardice carried out by an animal that needs to be put down. This act changed many things just as the mass murder that happened at luby's just up the road. Very strange energy comes from this monument. Like unfinished business randomly focused. It's a heavy dark energy.. It's sad that things like this exist.

It was a really nice memorial for those who lost their lives. Pictures, with messages from close family/friends and statues on top representing their lives. Many had left small things on top as well. It was very humbling and beautiful.
