Loved the gift shop. Prices were affordable. This place has changed a lot in the last 15 years. They used to have so much more to look at. But now they let you walk around and see the little houses they have on the property.
Beautiful building and decor with amazing artifacts collections. The surrounding desert is breathtaking. The natural trail is short and fun. A great detour for the whole family. The entrance fee receipt can be used to enter other nearby state parks on the same day for free.
I have lived in the valley for 40 years, and it was my first time here. I had so much fun learning and exploring. Great day out with the kids and it is still affordable!! Take a picnic.
