We were there for a wedding. For an evening wedding, the village is enchanting. Pictures can hardly do it justice. The chapel holds about 100. The reception hall is very large and there is a stage. There was plenty of room for the buffet, tables, a bar and dance floor. The doors open wide. The wedding was perfect.
Awesome historic homes!! Everything was set up so you could walk through the homes with period correct furnishings. My wife and I really enjoyed our time out there. A bonus was the Cajun music jam session going on.
This is the perfect place to learn about Cajun history. See the architecture of their homes, the artifacts of daily life, and speak to historians about the lifestyle.
