Nice in-town park. It has a sport recreation center free to public as well. In addition to aa pond with ducks. Large track around the entire park and small track around the pond. There also picnic areas with grills. Several playgrounds for kids. Outdoor Basket ball, raquet ball, vollyball, ping pong and tennis playing areas. Some gym outdoor equippment. Free parking. Easy to access. Some restrooms.
One of my favorite parks. Probably my favorite park in Lafayette, they have a walking path with a jogging or running path around the whole park which is really nice. You have basketball court with tennis courts and other gym and exercise equipment which this very nice. They also have a small small pad and two or three different children’s play areas, they keep the park up really well I enjoy my daily walks. They have a whole lot of ducks in the pond which is really nice to see. Give this place and try I promise you won’t be disappointed.
I felt safe taking an late evening stroll here. Aside from the party people still having a party the park was clean.

PARC SANS SOUCI REVIEWS
The best gathering of our beautiful Black people here to educate/inform us about our rights and to let us know they are here for us. We should all have this kind of togetherness in order to see whatever change we are looking for. THANK YOU NFAC. BLACK POWER
Small, but beautiful water park. Yes, a lot has changed this past year for the betterment of this park. Homeless ppl are longer allowed to congratulate there. The park grounds have been cleaned up. Security isn't that far away, or security cameras are available. I don't know about exactly this very day, but I went a few times & noticed the big water fountain was spraying water for the children.
This park is located in downtown Lafayette Louisiana. We visit this park fairly often while visiting Lafayette. The park is located across the street from the French press, which is a restaurant that we enjoy. Park is also located near a lot of the downtown locations that are visited frequently. Popular place for photography, especially the word Lafayette, spelled out missing the Y, so that U can stand with your arms raised, becoming the Y.

Moncus Park is a 100-acre nonprofit park that is supported by donations and dedicated to preserving and improving its green space. The park also aims to showcase the cultures and talents of Acadiana, bring communities together through celebrations, and create traditions. Moncus Park was previously used for agricultural education programs by the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for 100 years. In 2005, a community-wide protest called "Save the Horse Farm" prevented the park from being developed commercially and allowed it to be purchased to turn it into a world-class park. Moncus Park signed a 100-year lease with the city of Lafayette in 2018, ensuring that the park is developed, maintained, and operated for years to come. The park is an essential regional asset, tourist destination, and economic generator that has a positive impact on the economic, cultural, physical, and mental health of the Acadiana community and its residents.

Beautiful park with excellent landscaping. They did a great job creating a space for everyone. There is a large playground for kids, some nice elevation change with some hills, and a really cool water feature with the pond. Looking forward to further development of this park.
never thought I'd say I've seen a perfect public park! splash pad, play area, tree house and awesome trails! dogs allowed and a huge hill for the kids to rule down. only down side: seems to have a pay to park area but we went on Sunday and it was free. aside from that, this park has everything
