“Dr. Daniel Truong graduated from the Ludwig Albert University in Freiburg, Germany. He completed a 3-year fellowship in Movement Disorders at Columbia University in New York. Dr. Daniel is the first neurologist in Southern California to have formal fellowship training in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders. He has an interest in the areas of deep brain stimulation, pallidotomy, and thalamotomy. Dr. Daniel Truong has published more than 140 scientific publications and book chapters, including 3 in the prestigious medical textbook "Handbook of Clinical Neurology." Dr. Daniel Truong is currently engaged in research on Parkinson's disease, traumatic-related dystonia, and spasticity and has been involved in many dystonia research projects. Dr. Truong is currently serving as the Chair of the Educational Committee for the International Association for Parkinsonism and Related Disorders. He is also a member of the Education Committee for the World Federation of Neurology and the International Committee of the American Academy of Neurology. In the past, he has served on the Publication Committee and the Membership Committee of the World Federation of Neurology, as well as the McHenry Award Committee of the American Academy of Neurology. He currently practices at Truong's Neuroscience and is affiliated with Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Daniel's clinic is 6 miles away from downtown Huntington Beach, CA.”
