“Dr. Pedro Coutinho got his MD from Gama Filho University. He finished his residency at the Hospital Municipal Souza Aguiar and completed fellowships at Yale University and the University of Miami. Dr. Pedro Coutinho completed a Minimally Invasive & Complex Spine Surgery Fellowship at the University of Miami. He is board-certified by the Brazilian Neurosurgery Society/Brazilian Medical Association. He has been in practice for over 15 years and specializes in spine surgery. He has performed approximately 3,500 spinal surgeries, including about 1,800 minimally invasive procedures. He has authored book chapters in the field of spine surgery and has also written articles in peer-reviewed publications. He has experience in complex trauma, spinal oncology, advanced image guidance, and minimally invasive techniques. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and the American Association of Neurological Surgeons. He is also a regular reviewer of The Spine Journal and the World Neurosurgery Journal and has performed more than 150 manuscript reviews in the spine field. He is also affiliated with St. Vincent's Medical Center.”
