"Dr. Mark Garrett earned his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Emory University School of Medicine and completed his residency in neurosurgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute. He further advanced his training through fellowships in spine trauma, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, neuro-oncology, epilepsy surgery, complex spine surgery, and pituitary and neuroendocrine disorders. Dr. Mark Garrett specializes in the treatment of both routine and complex cranial and spinal conditions. He utilizes the latest surgical techniques and advanced instrumentation, often incorporating minimally invasive approaches to help reduce complications, minimize recovery time, and improve patient outcomes. Dr. Mark Garrett is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). He is affiliated with Chandler Regional Medical Center and Mercy Gilbert Medical Center. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Mark Garrett has participated in international medical outreach efforts in Tanzania, Africa, where he contributed to a Barrow Neurological Institute initiative focused on training neurosurgeons in developing countries.
