Dr. Bonasso gave me my life back! I was bed ridden with zero quality of life. He was so nice and understanding. He got me in for surgery 3 business days later because he didn’t want me to suffer any longer than I had for the last 11 months. He was very skilled and the surgery was a success! I feel amazing now thanks to him and have my quality of life back. I can hike and kayak and do all the things I love to do again. I had a massive herniation of my L5-S1 causing severe spinal stenosis and impingement of my S1 nerve and spinal cord. Dr. Bonasso is such a blessing!!! I will absolutely go back to him if I ever had any issues again and he’s still practicing. I wish there were more surgeons like him out there! He quite literally saved my life and I can’t thank him enough.

I've Been To Dr. Bonasso Several Times For Back Surgery, Excellent Doctor, He's Very Easy To Talk With, He Explains Everything To You That You Need Answered, His Staff In The Office Are Very Nice And Friendly And Are Always Available If You Call And Need Something, Or If You Leave A Message When They Are Busy They Get Right Back To You, Excellent Doctor Plus Excellent Staff = Excellent Care, Higly Recommend!!!!!.

A very difficult back surgery. 4 level Lumbar back fusion with 2 rods, cage, titanium disk & 10 screws performed by this awesome doctor. The pain and burning in my legs were gone the next morning. I'm 7 months post and see continued improvement. I was unsure about having this surgery. This visit to Riverside was a 2nd opinion of what OSU said. If you're looking for a Dr with a warm, fuzzy bedside manner, this Surgeon is NOT for you. (I can get that from my wife) However, if you want a doctor with the EXPERIENCE and EXPERTISE to trust the health of your spine to, Dr Balturshot is that man. As a 66 yr old man, I'm not sure that I can run a chainsaw for long, swing a sledge & ax, ride my quad and lift weights much, but is providing the ability to walk with my wife, children and grandchildren virtually pain free most of the time. I'm still healing and making improvement. This surgery, while more difficult then my open heart just 2 yrs ago, has been worth it for me.

I had lumbar laminectomy and fusion by Dr Balturshot 3 weeks ago and I could not be any more pleased with the results. All of my pre-op symptoms have resolved and I feel like I have my life back. I saw Dr Balturshot as a second opinion and chose for him to do my surgery and I have zero regrets about that decision. My post-op pain was managed very well and he answered all of my questions. I was very pleased with my entire surgical experience. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing spinal surgery.

My wife had C3-C7 laminectomy and fusion. Dr. Balturshot was highly recommended and didn't disappoint. He is to the point and let us know the surgery was needed but not immediately. My wife is recovering nicely.

He is the one of the best doctors I see, always takes time to answer questions, and go over what he thinks needs done. I appreciated the fact has a healthcare worker he shows me the scans and goes over them, makes them easy to understand. Gives me a better feeling when making choices. Have had 5 surgeries and have felt great after all. Would highly recommend him.

A true blessing after 3 unsuccessful surgery’s elsewhere...he gives me real hope in getting some pain relief. The extra time he took to explain I actually do have other options and what I can expect from my next procedure and after is greatly appreciated!.

Great surgeon! Just had cerv. and thoracic surgery with him. Recovery has gone well. I am feeling mostly back to normal. Have my recheck with him in October. I would definitely recommend him.
