She earned her optometry degree and Master of Science in Vision Science from The Ohio State University in Columbus. Dr. Brown completed clinical rotations at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and the Columbus Veterans Administration Hospital Outpatient Clinic. She pursued a residency at Ochsner, specializing in retina, glaucoma, cornea, pediatrics, and primary care. Dr. Brown holds certification from the National Board of Examiners in Optometry for treating and managing ocular diseases. She also possesses an optometric license with therapeutic privileges in Louisiana. She served as the past president of the New Orleans Optometric Society and is currently a member of the Optometric Association of Louisiana and the American Optometric Association.

My visit, was one every doctor's office should follow. I was checked in and went to the back by 8:13am. Did all of my exams and was by the doctor by 8:29am, Man, I never been seen that fast, usually I have to wait for the lady's in the front to stop talking among themselves and talking all their personal business before seeing to the clients. Was in and out got my glasses and had a great day before 12 noon. Thanks so much for putting the clients first.

What a great experience. I was treated like my health mattered. I was suffering from an acute condition and they said come in right away, we’ll fit you in immediately. I don’t have insurance, and they charged me a reasonable price I could afford. The doctor and all the staff treated me with respect and compassion, and I saw SO MANY patients come in and out while I was there but it was still fast and pleasant.

From the front desk to the doctor is always a pleasure. The entire staff is always kind and very helpful.They have my business for life. Thanks guys.

I forgot to order contact lenses for my trip to Louisiana for a big concert. I called around the area and came across Eyes on Canal. I forwarded my prescription to the team and Valencia was incredibly helpful!! She followed up with me to see if she had my prescription in stock and THEY DID. She was so kind enough to give me a pair for free. I organized an Uber driver to pick it up and drop it to my hotel. The task was SEAMLESS. Thank you to Valencia and the team at Eyes on Canal. This is such an AMAZING start to my first trip to Louisiana! I finally get to see the Queen Beyoncé in 20/20 vision.

Best eye care experience I have had in years! The staff are sweet & efficient, and Dr. Jackson provided a lot of important eye health information that my previous dr never explained. This will absolutely be our new family eye care place.

These people are amazing! Everytime I've gone in they went above and beyond, a simple repair or replacement. Everyone is super friendly. I changed my insurance so i can go back for my next pair.

I LOVE her bedside manners. She's funny & sweet and handles her patients with the utmost respect & professionalism. She is definitely a 5 star physician.

Dr Brown is extremely knowledgeable and caring when it comes her patients and parents. She keeps my kids engaged while performing their eye exams. Makes it a positive experience for them. She makes it easy to get an urgent care appointment when needed. I can’t say enough about her bedside manner.

My family loves Dr. Brown and her staff. She is always caring and informative. The best eye doctor! She is wonderful with my daughter, and we have been seeing her since she was little.
