This is a great museum featuring historical representations via mannequin depicted large scale dioramas to showcase the past world wars that are part of the United States Army Museum System archive of data. Great detail is included via artifacts and film clips. You can take as long as you like walking through the museum, and photographs are allowed without flash. There is a gift shop, and on the outside of the museum there is a huge scale statue, memorial flags, and a memorial.

I went here with my husband and baby shortly after moving to the area. I personally love plants and gardening so I really enjoyed the garden. It's nice to be able to just walk around and read about all the plants. They have a lot of really interesting sections. The staff is super friendly and helpful as well. It ended up pouring rain while we were there and they gave us two free passes into the garden to come back on a day with better weather.

This Museum was wonderful & quaint. Very quiet, small facility, with lots of interactive displays for children and activities for them to physically do to participate in learning the histories of America & Cape Fear & the South. There is even an option for children (of proper age) to be an explorer and rent a backpack to do different activities with during their time at the museum. 2 stories of displays, all with visual aids. Super meat museum. Wish our kids had besn with us to enjoy it all!
