WESTERN MUSEUM OF FLIGHT REVIEWS
This museum is growing and recently got more hanger space to display their aircraft. The main museum and artifacts are one hanger, along with a few planes. The space between the hangers now is a place where they can park their collection of F14 and A4 aircraft. The second hanger has an amazingly kept harrier jet. In our visit, the main attractions are the YF17, which was the test plane that became the F18, and the GE powered YF23 stealth fighter. The fighter, better known as the one that lost to the F22 in flight trials. The staff was awesome and does great with kids, showing them interesting things to keep them engaged. Hopefully the museum can expand more to share their collection of aviation items better.
Great museum for aviation enthusiasts. There are quite a few exhibits geared towards aviation in Southern California, as well. The museum also has guest speakers on Saturdays through much of the year.
Such an amazing, small aviation museum. Awesome aircraft, lots of history. Absolutely loved it.

TORRANCE ART MUSEUM REVIEWS
Having been to museums in more than 40 countries, I was surprised to find such a small museum in my current home city be both free and also so excellently curated. The photography they had, in a special exhibit that isn’t permanent, was just exceptional and I could have stayed for hours just enjoying that aspect of the collection. I also enjoyed the exhibit in coordination with curators in Germany. The staff member I talked to was knowledgeable and super helpful. Parking is plentiful and the location is good, close to several other things to do if you’re visiting and don’t live in Torrance. I’d highly recommend making time to visit this museum if you’re anywhere nearby.
This beautiful art gallery is worth checking out. This pocket of Torrance is such a gift to experience. Art and a garden to welcome you....I really enjoyed the current exhibition -Western Values. It felt so fitting for reflection. Also, I recommend visiting the little zen Japanese garden next door, at the Torrance Cultural Center.
Great little museum showcasing California artists. I came for Sonic Exploration on the Patio, but enjoyed the gallery enough that we plan to attend more exhibits. Good parking, entry is free but donations are encouraged.

SOUTH COAST BOTANIC GARDEN REVIEWS
This is such a lovely botanical garden. Visited here on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't crowded at all. There's currently a troll exhibit by Thomas Dambo. He's an artist from Denmark. The troll exhibit gave the garden an enchanting and whimsical vibe. It's hard to believe that just 60 years prior, South Coast Botanical Garden was a landfill. There's plenty of areas to sit down and have a picnic. The walking trail is nice and pleasant with lovely flowers and greenery. Great way to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon.
We went on a Saturday afternoon to see the garden in early winter and the Trolls. As many times as we've been in the garden, we always see something different as we also seek out the familiar - the sausage tree is a favorite. The Trolls were delightful, wry and magical. The birdhouses were unexpected and are an inspired, lighthearted, bright addition. So appropriate! I hope you'll keep them.
A lovely location and top notch botanical garden. So open and well thought out. We made it to see the troll exhibit but I will return for more. I suggest an early reservation. We went at 10 but there was a line out the lot by 1140.
