Since 1987
Dr. Mary Ann C. Contogiannis received her medical degree from East Carolina University. She pursued her training in general surgery at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine and East Carolina University, followed by a plastic surgery residency at the University of Missouri in Kansas City, MO. During her time in Kansas City, she also completed a fellowship in hand surgery. Dr. Contogiannis has demonstrated a strong dedication to medical education. She has represented resident training issues at the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education meetings on a national level. Additionally, she has held positions such as Secretary-Treasurer and Vice President of the American Medical Association's Education and Research Foundation. Dr. Mary Ann C. Contogiannis maintains affiliations with multiple hospitals and healthcare systems, including the Moses Cone Health Systems Hospitals, the HealthSouth Greensboro Specialty Surgical Center, and the HealthSouth Surgical Center of Greensboro.
