"Dr. Brian Briscoe is a board-certified psychiatrist with more than 18 years of private practice experience. He completed his medical school and psychiatry specialty training at the University of Louisville. He provides care to adults of all ages in a respectful and nonjudgmental manner. Dr. Briscoe takes time to understand each patient’s needs and develops treatment plans aimed at supporting steady progress. He focuses on attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, and mood disorders such as depression and bipolar disorder. He designs individualized treatment plans to support improvements in quality of life and overall well-being. Dr. Briscoe has received awards in recognition of his research, service, and academic work. He participates in Next Step 4 Mental Health, a team that supports patients through their care process from the first visit through follow-up appointments.
2026 Update: Dr. Brian Briscoe is a former full-time faculty member of the University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry. He continues to teach residents, medical students, and nurse practitioners through a voluntary faculty appointment. He has published scholarly articles and presented at international conferences. He has served as Chair of the National Psychiatry Section of the Christian Medical and Dental Association. He is also involved in local and national efforts that support pastors and churches in caring for individuals experiencing mental health concerns."
