"Dr. John R. Gielow has over 37 years of experience in the field of psychology. He is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with a wide spectrum of emotional conditions related to relationships and environmental stress. He is a member of the EMDR International Association. Dr. Gielow uses experiential and neural processing techniques to assist in healing. His therapeutic approach is engaging, interactive, and collaborative. He specializes in treating individuals, couples, and families ages 14 and older. He has been augmenting traditional therapeutic methods with a variety of techniques, including EMDR therapy, Comprehensive Resource Model (CRM), heart rate variability training (HeartMath), body-centered approaches, mindfulness training, hypnosis, and ego-state interventions to support deep, lasting therapeutic change. His input as a child specialist helps parents communicate and jointly create family plans focused on the well-being of their children.
