The park is 135 acres and features lighted multi-use fields, baseball fields, pickleball and tennis courts, walking trails, and the Skate Park. The playground includes ten slides, including a three-story slide tower, a climbing rock wall, a Biba-activated playground, and a rope web climber. The park offers three separate areas for off-leash fun and space for maintenance and landscape rehabilitation. I LOVE the park. There is ample parking that is a short walk to the playground. The playground is gated so you don’t have to worry about your little ones escaping. There is plenty for them to do on the playground, which is equipped with nice, new, clean attractions. There are several shaded benches for parents to sit and chill, with a nice view of the beach a short distance away. The playground is situated on soft green grass which allows your children to play with their shoes off. There is also a misting station to cool off on hot summer days. You’ll also find grilling stations and picnic tables perfect for a Saturday picnic at the park. My kids and I will be back!!!!

Great space for the dogs, kids and adults. I really love the dog park especially with the wooded area in the middle. The dogs get to explore instead of just being in the sun. The fenced in park close to the beach, superb!!!! Love it. Also the nice trail around the lake for adults and the dogs.

Such an amazing park and well worth the annual fee pass if you'll be coming regularly. I love the dog park, the people are generally careful with their dogs and maintain a good watch over them. They also have private dog parks you can rent for $1/dog/hour. They've got walking trails and hiking trails. I love coming here with my dog. Highly recommend!

BISHOP PARK REVIEWS

Great park in Athens! Nine tennis courts, plus one covered I believe, and all of them are lit, which is really nice. Haven’t played the covered court, so not sure about that one. Basketball courts, softball field, football and a community pool. There is a lot of open green space and a playground for kids. The farmer’s market is located here spring through fall on Saturdays. Wonderful place to hang out and enjoy the outdoors! Always something going on.

Lovely park! I used to work at the Athens Farmers Market that pops up here. Now I visit for the Indie South Holiday Markets and take my nephews to the little playground. I do wish they had more swings for adults because my partner took her time on the tire swing, but otherwise 5 stars.

Park provides playground, playing fields, indoor, picnic areas, outdoor track & field and good parking. Celebrated our grand daughter's birthday. Park is kept very clean as well.

Nice little local community park with play area for the children as well as two separate run areas for your dogs. All the times I've been there everyone has their dogs in control and having fun with the other dogs at the park. Good place to visit if you're in the Athens area.

Great dog park with plenty of room to let your dogs run and burn up energy. There is also a separate fenced in area for more aggressive dogs, so they can get exercise too.

Found what I was seeking Lovely Park, nice pathways and places for kids and adults. And plenty of room for exercising.
