"Lynn Creek Park covers about 784 acres on the northwest shore of Joe Pool Lake. The park offers a plethora of amenities such as a pristine white-sand swimming beach, a playground, restrooms, showers, two boat ramps equipped with eight lanes, a concession stand, nearly 100 picnic sites, group picnic pavilions, and a sand volleyball court. The swimming area boasts a sandy beach and a grassy section complete with covered picnic tables. Adjacent to the beach, there is a playground, restrooms, changing rooms, and a concession stand. The park's goal is to enhance the quality of life and foster community through individuals, programs, spaces, and partnerships. The park also includes open grassy areas and walking trails, according to a park guide. Lynn Creek Park is located on the northwest shore of Joe Pool Lake.

2026 Update: Lynn Creek Park features a new white-sand beach, uncommon for inland parks, with a swimming area that combines a sand beach, grassy, shaded picnic zone. The playground is positioned directly next to the swimming area for family use, and it offers an eight-lane boat launch, suitable for heavy boating traffic."

LYNN CREEK PARK AT JOE POOL LAKE REVIEWS

Perfect spot to relax and celebrate with friends and family. You do have to get here pretty early to get a good spot on the beach. We arrived around 8:30 and the ones closest to the parking were already taken but there were still a lot available. We did have to bring our own grill but the locations on the grassy areas had their own grill and there were plenty of them. Staff are really nice and helpful and they helped us bring a big canopy to the beach with their trailer. Overall really nice lake!

Went for Prairie Lights. It was awesome. So much fun driving and walking around the lights. The "christmas market" was poor but the lights were amazing.

Beautiful lake with lots of beautiful views and trees playground and beach area. An awesome place to scape from the city life.

The best park of the city of Grand Prairie, the city of parks. It is one of the best in the state of Texas. This park has nocturnal animals and enough bushes for them to hide. City does a good job with bright lightning to keep them away from public access areas. The west Trinity river fork runs thru the park. The canals in lake are full of gold fish and turtles. Part of the lake is wetland and the elevated bridge over lake extends the trail to 2 mile each way. If you are in a hurry to take a walk, this trail can take you in and out of nature very quick. Thanks to the people of the city who fought for this park and forced the state to build elevated highway without interfering with the natural setting of the area.

Really nice,very shaded walk area, and the library is beautiful. The swings were nice. Also what i believe are ping pong tables there 3 of them... looks like.... also has outlet to plug 3 prong to charge or connect something else electronic in. Sems like a relaxing spot more than of an active spot.

Great place for walk and ride a bike, many parking lot areas with handicapped designated areas. Bathrooms with accessible ramps for wheelchairs. Playground in the middle near to the lake.

A really nice and relaxing park lots of hills and shaded spaces to picnic on if you’re into that kind of thing. I came from Houston and had a chance to throw some disc off and saw this course on UDisc. What’s a good course there’s a triple Mando in there, which is a lot of fun. I ran out of time. I wish I had enough daylight to play the whole course. I’ll be back for sure to finish.

Such a beautiful park, nice place to come and relax with you kids the play ground is big and if you play disc golf it's a nice place to come and challenge yourself. There are a few holes that people just throw trash on the ground that needs to get cleaned up but other than that it's a beautiful park come and challenge your self here...

This is a pretty large park, but hard to see from the road. Equipment is a bit old, but solid and lots of space for activities. Quite a few hills and ample parking. Looks like some people play disc golf here on a regular basis as well.
