Edward Vincent Jr. Park is a 55-acre municipal park in Inglewood. The historic location was renamed in 1997 to honor Edward Vincent Jr., the first African-American mayor of the city. It was described as the "biggest and most popular developed park in the Centinela-South Bay" in 1979. The development of the nearby larger Baldwin Hills State Recreation Area in 1983 was said to relieve some of the local demand for Centinela Park amenities. Features of the park include a skate park, a 1.2-mile (1.9 km) walking track, an Olympic-size swimming pool and an ADA-compliant bathhouse, basketball courts, football fields, baseball diamonds, picnic areas, five children’s playgrounds, a multipurpose building used by the Girl Scouts, a playhouse, and an amphitheater.

EDWARD VINCENT JR PARK REVIEWS
I really enjoyed the diversity of the green spaces in Edward Vincent Jr Park and a series of recreation facilities in the park. There are soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts, a skate park, a play ground, and even a swimming pool! Plenty of benches in the picnic area. There are at least four public restroom buildings in the park, which is really convenient. There is a gorgeous palm tree lined street near the southwest end of the park. Looks so nice in photos.
An oasis tucked somewhere in the urban sprawl of Inglewood. The remarkable features of this park are its cleanliness, the softness of the lush grass flowing down its hills, and the strange proliferation of restrooms -- all wet and clogged with human waste -- everywhere you turn. Someone made a fortune in the planning and development of this park, I bet.
Wonderful family park with a lot of attractions for everyone. If you enjoy walking it has a great track really a great choice for everyone.

Nice clean & close to everything. This park has several benches looking at the new arena for the Rams & Chargers. Those same benches have grills shadowed by the trees above & walking trails around the park that transitions into jogging trails that are padded for reduced shin stress. The recreation center is open frequently for activities & entertainment as well.

Just went to the park today 5/24/22 and it was nice! The restrooms were insanely clean, area is well maintained.
The skatepark has all the basics of a good park: ledge, flat rail, mini ramp, and bump to bump, with a bonus double hubba ledge and stairs.
