The park is adjacent to Dorr's Pond, which includes a walking trail that circles Dorr's Pond, where you can fish in the warmer seasons and ice skate in the winter months. Livingston Park has a swimming pool complete with water features and slides. There are two playgrounds, one for toddlers/preschool children and one for older children. The park also has a running track, picnic tables, playground, baseball diamond, swimming pool, and boardwalk around a pond. Veteran's Memorial Park is an elegant place for outdoor concerts and festivals. The Park also has a large covered stage from spring into early fall. The Park is also where festivals are conducted, such as fairs, lectures, and film festivals. These events include People Fest, the Downtown Film Fest, the YWCA's Take Back the Night, the annual Adopt-A-Block fair, and so on. The Park features historical monuments, fountains, jogging, bike riding, gardens, open and green space, tennis courts, waterfalls, shelters, stone benches and walking trails. The JB Batalis public restrooms are open during various downtown programs.
