SOUTHWIND PARK REVIEWS
We were traveling through the area and we found this park and trail on AllTrails. We were looking for a place to stretch our legs and to get our steps in for the day. There is a nice concrete trail here and many other interesting things to look at here as well. We thought this was a great park to visit.
What a great park! We had the best day. They have a pond with duckies, a splash pad, swings, jungle gyms, etc. So fortunate to have this in Springfield.
Always a well kept park. Lives up to its name and is often windy. Plenty of sidewalked trails, 2 playgrouds and dog friendly.

Centennial Park is situated on the far southwest side of Springfield, an area witnessing significant growth with the expansion of residential and commercial buildings in recent years. During its inception, the park held the distinction of being the largest in the area, thanks to the support of an $800,000 grant called "The open space lands acquisition and development grant" from the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. The park's land acquisition took place in 1921. Visitors to Centennial Park should be aware of some rules and regulations in place to ensure everyone's safety and enjoyment. When driving within the park areas, it's important to adhere to speed limits, stop signs, and use appropriate signaling. Additionally, the park's playgrounds are designated as "Kid Friendly Zones," and smoking is discouraged in these areas.

CENTENNIAL PARK REVIEWS
Beautiful, wide open park with Playground, tennis courts, picnic areas, a long paved trail and a Large Hill for a climbing challenge and sledding. There's also a paved path that winds to the top of the hill. Easy to pick out a place for solitude, as you can clearly see everything.
We enjoy taking our son on the trails and playgrounds. It's always a chill vibe, well-kept grounds, and plenty to do. There's also a sizable dog park nearby the main entrance.
Great place for the family lots of room to do just about anything. Playground for kids is really big. Gonna go every weekend.

I grew up across the street from this park. When school was out or on break, my cousins, siblings, and I were always here. We have some of the best memories here. They have a playground, 3 ball fields, bench tables, balance beam, swings, etc. It is a great place for kids and also, very popular.
It it's a huge park, lots of room to run. It is in a great neighborhood the people there have always been friendly.
Good at day time but night not lite up and cars hanging out more cops need to patrol at night.
