"Rice Park has many festivals, events, and concerts throughout the year. The park features a beautiful fountain surrounded by the Landmark Center, Ordway, Saint Paul Hotel, and the Downtown Central Library. Rice Park hosts a free outdoor exercise program offered throughout the summer. The classes are open to all ages, and no registration is necessary. The park offers a free outdoor ice rink in Landmark Plaza, adjacent to Rice Park. The park has lots of benches, and there are also some Snoopy statues for the kids. The park is considered one of the most famous parks in the area. The park offers wheelchair access.

The beautifully landscaped park is a pleasant spot for an outdoor lunch break or picnic. The park has seasonal flower gardens, a covered band shell with electricity, and a beautiful stream running diagonally through the park. Rice Park is THE place to get engaged. I always see couples popping the question. It's a very romantic little park, especially in the evening. With the Saint Paul Hotel and Landmark Center nearby - it is very cozy and romantic!.

Lovely area. Appears clean and safe during the day. The Saint Paul Hotel, Landmark Center, The Ordway, and the Downtown Central Library surround the park. There are always different things to see and do. The best area in downtown St. Paul.

Beautiful, easily-accessible, central park. We were here for the bumper cars on ice for the Bold North Breakaway celebration. Love how everything is lit for the holidays. I'm sure it's beautiful every season. Street parking available.

HARRIET ISLAND REGIONAL PARK REVIEWS

Harriet Island regional park is always a great place to enjoy a relaxing stroll with the dogs. There are also many amenities available for all types of activities. They have barbecue grills, picnic tables, tons of green space to fly a kite or a game of frisbee. There is a well maintained playground for the kids too. The bike/walking trail runs through here. You can get just about anywhere in the metro on that trail. The paddleboats take off from here on wonderful river rides. They have midday rides that anyone can afford. As well as beautiful sunset rides for a romantic evening. We are all very lucky to have such a nice place right in the middle of our city.

Beautiful park on the Mississippi River. Nice walking, biking and rolling paths, picnic tables and restrooms. Great location for family events. Paddle boat rides. Bike the trail along the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers to Mendota, or loop to the South St Paul Trails.

Love walking here! Especially the day after a snowfall. The landscape and the view of downtown Saint Paul is stunning. The paths were clear for walking even in the winter. Highly recommend!!

MEARS PARK REVIEWS

I love Mears Park. I enjoy sitting by the trees and I completely appreciate the volunteers who plant all of the beautiful flowers. It gives this city dweller a place to catch my breath. Many people enjoy it with their dogs and I even saw a couple with their 2 cats walking through. Kitties were each on a leash. During the summer they have live music some nights, and the jazz festival each year is hugely popular. Music, food trucks and porta- potties (of course) All in all, Mears Park is a very important part of Lowertown.

A beautiful park in the heart of downtown St. Paul. Located in the Lowertown area, the running stream, flowers and trees make you feel like you're in a small town. My kids call this "squirrel" park because the squirrels are used to being around people here and let you get pretty close.

Dog-friendly, outdoor movie nights & concerts w/ food trucks, frequent site for wedding photographs, gorgeous fall foliage! The sound of flowing water, and the dappled shade from the birch trees makes this park feel pretty zen. Great place for walking your dog or meeting up with friends.
