Cascades is a beautiful location, with a lake, several cool bridges, and a nice layout - you can walk around the park without going along the exact same path every time. Dogs seem to enjoy the space. It's great to bring kids and let them play on the lawns or in the playground. It's great for walking, biking, Frisbee, and hunting Pokemon (in Go). There's a restaurant. The public bathrooms are generally clean. There's free wifi.

Beautiful park with well-maintained trails. Lake is peaceful and home to many species of birds. Dogs are allowed on the trails. The trails aren't difficult at all and we saw a lot of families and older people. We didn't go to the gardens this time but it's supposed to be lovely from late January to March. The recreation center at the other end of the park has a small swimming area, picnic tables, and other facilities.

Beautiful duck pond on North Monroe. If you live in Tallahassee and haven't spent some time here, go now! One lap around the lake is a little more than half a mile. Lots of Muscovy, Pekin, Mallard, hybrid ducks and Canadian geese. There was one wood duck who lived here for a few months last year, but I haven't seen one since he left. Herons, cranes, cormorants, pigeons, turtles and squirrels are almost always here as well. Pretty fountains and rose bushes, lots of swings, benches and live oaks.
