I walk at Seaside Park frequently. Stunning views of the Sound. Sidewalks for a couple of miles as well as bike lanes. Benches all along the sidewalks as well as picnic tables in the grassy areas. You need a pass to park in the park area from Memorial day to Labor day which I think is worth purchasing but if you are willing to walk a little further you can park outside the park and walk in. If you prefer early morning walks the gates don’t open until 8 am but again you can park outside the park itself and walk in.
Love this beach, it's so beautiful and the water is clean, despite what people say, it's a sound of a different ecosystem so that's why it's not clear blue. Tell me if I'm wrong. The walk around the beach is beautiful seeing the waves crash on the big rocks and seagulls looking for fish. And sun rise and the sun over the water before sunset are beautiful. Pro go during the week, Cons weekend are ghetto and all kinds of music loud walk to the light house is nice.
Seaside Park is the best park/beach in Fairfield County. We have a long stretch of beach which is really clean. Our parks have plenty of baseball diamonds to facilitate every age level as well of plenty of land to provide soccer fields for youth leagues as well as young adults and adults. Their is plenty of parking and picnic tables for barbecuing.
