“Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is committed to acquainting the public with the delicate balance that exists between living things and their environment. The zoo features over 100 species, including some critically endangered and potentially facing extinction. The zoo aims to instill a sense of wonder for the wild world, engage guests of all ages with the beauty and power of the animals in their collection, and encourage them to do their part to protect the lives of endangered species and endangered places. Visitors can spend an hour or the whole day and see more than 300 animals representing primarily North and South American species. The generosity of community partnerships supports their focus on education, conservation, recreation, and animal welfare. Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is grateful for the financial contributions, sponsorships, time devoted by their volunteers, corporate giveback days, in-kind donations, and how individuals, businesses, and organizations interact with them. Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo offers free admission for children under 1 year.”
