" Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is committed to acquainting the public with the delicate balance that exists between living things and their environment. Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo features more than 100 species, including threatened, endangered, and critically endangered species. The zoo aims to instill a sense of wonder for the wild world, engage guests of all ages with the beauty and power of the animals in their collection, and encourage them to do their part to protect the lives of endangered species and endangered places. Connecticut's only zoo features 350 animals representing primarily North and South American and Northern Asian species. The generosity of community partnerships supports their focus on education, conservation, recreation, and animal welfare. Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo is grateful for the financial contributions, sponsorships, time devoted by their volunteers, corporate giveback days, in-kind donations, and how individuals, businesses, and organizations interact with them. The Zoo will provide free admission to any Connecticut resident 18 years or younger, along with one accompanying adult.

Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo offers discounted admission for schools and camps with 10 or more guests that book online, pay in full by credit card at least two weeks in advance, and enter as a group for a self-guided visit.
