A must have Sushi place!! If you enjoy sushi then you must come here! The food is amazing as well as the Rock n Roll atmosphere. The environment is a very welcoming home feeling. The restrooms are extremely clean which is a must due to my medical needs. The customer service is top notch and great conversationalist. The waitress was extremely knowledgeable of the types of Sushi and recommendations were perfect for us! There is a long wait for food but it is worth it just be sure not to be in a hurry. Huge recognition to our waitress Cait who's knowledge, friendliness and Sushi suggestions made our experience perfect! She even recommended a Sushi roll that was not on the menu but the mix tasted amazing.

Hannah was fantastic! She made me an old-fashioned cocktail that was excellent. The service was fast and efficient, and she was very personable. The staff maintained cleanliness, providing everything needed for a great experience.

First time here..had a refreshing watermelon martini, garlic edemame, & the Brass Monkey and The Midnight Rambler sushi rolls. they were very fresh tasting and server was sweet and attentive! I enjoyed all of it!

UMIYA SUSHI REVIEWS

I was very reluctant to go to, what I thought, was a buffet sushi place. I could not have been more wrong. Instead, they actually have servers taking orders for hand made sushi.. The service was outstanding. We actually had trouble keeping up with the servers as they came by frequently. They seemed to have an extensive staff with servers everywhere and at least five cooks preparing sushi. Very impressed. The food itself was very good. Again, the food exceeded my expectations. The all you can eat is a value so good, I wonder how they even turn a profit. We will definitely return in the future.

I’m not a fan of too many restaurants in Corpus Christi, as I think they are pretty average. This one is different. The food is fresh and custom made to order. Some of their sushi rolls are truly unique and very well made. I don’t eat too much, but the selection is pretty extensive. We are lucky to have a restaurant like this in Corpus Christi.

Soooooo much great food for the price . All you can eat or a separate menu for one time dinner’s. Great place to have a peaceful dinner . Music was up beat . Kaylee our server was on point. The staff all around needs to be recognized for constant food servings and plate clean up . Thank you !

DOKYO DAUNTAUN REVIEWS

Came here a couple years ago, didn’t have a good time back then because all we could remember was the long wait. Have heard some good things recently and decided to give this place another shot, and the food came out so much faster!! Everything was delicious especially the sushi. We were told that they’re under new ownership and I’m liking it so far. Definitely will be coming back.

The Dancing Shrimp Roll at Dokyo Dauntaun was absolutely delicious! Perfectly balanced flavors and beautifully presented. Our server David, made the experience even better – he was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and had such a great attitude. His recommendation was spot-on, and the energy added to the overall vibe of the place. Can’t wait to come back.

Great time! Great atmosphere! And of course great food! The experience me and my friends had tonight was one to remember! The crispy onion albacore was a dish I’ll definitely be coming back for! Recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great sushi experience!
