We unfortunately had a very unprofessional planner prior to her who left us high and dry during the pandemic. I'm so thankful I found Taryn and her team. I could NOT have planned my wedding without her by my side. We had a destination wedding in California and at first I tried to do it myself. I selected the wedding venue with no problem, but choosing a reception venue, rentals, and organizing all the tiny details proved to be a challenge. That is when I decided to seek professional help. Taryn stood out from the beginning. She is kind, organized and extremely thorough. I had a strict budget and she helped me accomplish all of my goals by working with the vendors and figuring out which options worked best for me. On my wedding day I didn't worry about a thing because I knew she had it handled. When we got to the reception it was all I imagined and more. The SoCal Wedding Consultant team set it up beautifully. It has been three weeks since my wedding and I still continue to get compliments from my guests about how well-organized the day was.
We wanted to plan an interracial, intercultural, inter-religious wedding ceremony and reception that would please everyone on both sides. Even to us it sounded like a recipe for disaster or worse, a huge let down. In the end, everyone on both sides of the family loved it, grew from it, and walked away in awe at what we had managed to pull off. When it came time to speak with Taryn, we were exhausted from working through compromises with our families, and it was so nice to work with her because she was our little calm island in the storm around us. Planning the 50/50 split wedding of our dreams was not easy! Taryn made it easy. It's hard for me to admit something is perfection, but our wedding really was for us. I didn't worry about anything and everything went exactly how we had envisioned it. I was able to be so present during my events that I didn't even see her and her team working the event. Everything ran like clockwork. The room design was beautiful, her team was great, and I just felt like I could fully let go and enjoy something almost three years in the making.

JM EVENT PLANNING & PRODUCTION REVIEWS
We used JM Event Planning’s waitstaff and bartending services back in June 2022 for our two day wedding in Santa Barbara. Jennifer was such a pleasure to work with. I didn’t have an event coordinator so she worked with me and was very hands on and asked all the right questions prior to the events. We had two events, our wedding with an early dinner afterwards and reception party the next day. She set up our tables effortlessly and managed dinner service as well as clean up. I was so concerned about clean up particularly as it involved working with our other vendors, caterer and rental company. Everything went off without a hitch. I didn’t have to worry about clean up at all and she did such a good job that I got my security deposit back from both venues. She made sure my husband and I were properly fed and had our drinks of choice. Even my maid of honor was ringing praises for Jennifer and how great she was. I also loved the platform she used for her invoice set up where I could see the pricing of everything and if I wanted to add something on the pricing was right there. It reduced unnecessary back and forth emails. I highly recommend them as a vendor for your next event!
Jennifer and her team went above and beyond for our big day. She handled all communication with vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding. She was so easy to work with and made sure even the tiniest details were taken care of. Multiple guests at our wedding have said the day was seamless, and that is 100% because of Jennifer and her team.
Jennifer did an outstanding job for us this past weekend. I hosted a weekend with all of my extended family (20+ people) and Jennifer did everything perfectly/ the set up, food preparations, serving and clean up. They took total control of every aspect of the meals the entire weekend so I could relax. She was also helpful with planning before the weekend and recommended florists and furniture rental. She and April were both beyond excellent and I would definitely use JM events again!
